NB: For all events held at Princes Hill Community Centre these are on the first floor. There is a set of reasonably narrow stairs required to access the venue. Please contact us if you have accessibility requirements and we will endeavor to accommodate you.

Saturday Tutored Life drawing

Come and learn to draw the human figure, guided by an experienced artist and drawing tutor. More advanced students also welcome. Materials provided.
Classes are run via nine-week blocks, during school terms.
Salons
The LMS salons are designed to allow artists to immerse themselves as much as their life commitments permit. Bookings are required.
If you prefer the challenge of short duration poses, come in the morning. If you prefer the details you can draw with longer poses, come in the afternoon.
Allow 15min to get yourself set up before the session.
Morning Session: 10:30am – 1:00pm
Afternoon Session: 1:30pm – 4:00pm

New Member Workshops
The workshop is suitable for people with no experience, or a small amount of all levels of experience as a life model. Models with experience in the field, or who have modelling experience primarily in another industry, who wish to join the LMS are also required to attend this workshop.
We cover life modelling basics, health and safety precautions, tips and tricks, boundaries and consent, with a focus on the LMS Working Conditions. Participants will receive a guide to take home, including a copy of the Working Conditions.
You can assess, in a safe space, whether working as a life model is right for you.
Upon completion, participants will be invited to join the LMS or a recommended to repeat the workshop if we feel you need extra support.
This is an interactive session of up to 15 models, please be prepared to model nude.

Workshops are via confirmed bookings only. You cannot attend if you have not pre-booked a ticket. We do our best to accommodate all potential models, however our sessions often sell out.
Extravaganzas
The next LMS Extravaganza is scheduled for 30 April 2023, at PHCC subject to COVID-19 restrictions.
The Life Model’s Society Extravaganza is an opportunity to draw multiple models, network with artists, models, and enjoy the usually overflowing snack table and live music.
Bookings are recommended as these events are popular. Models will cycle through group, and individual poses through the afternoon.
Cost $45.00 full, $30.00 concession.
