The Life Models’ Society (LMS) was formed in 1989 to provide a means for life models to get to know each other, and as a support group to standardise rates of pay and to improve our working conditions.
We are a collective of models run by a committee of volunteers. We are not a booking agency.
We publish a list of available artists’ models which is available to our financial subscribers.
Anyone who is a member of the LMS has attended one of our model workshops. This allows us to meet all members and to ensure all LMS models have a consistent base level of knowledge. Most workshop attendees have never modelled, or been nude in front of others, so it is a great way to test out if life modelling suits you. Models who have already had considerable experience will also learn about our approaches to work and have all come away having learned something useful.
