Events

Tickets to all events run by the Life Models’ Society, including workshops and LMS-run life drawing, are available via Humanitix. Please check there for the most up-to-date events information.

  1. New Member Workshops
  2. Life Drawing Sessions
  3. AGM

All events take place at the Princes Hill Community Centre, at 5 Bagung Lane (rear of 270 Macpherson St) Carlton North, unless otherwise stated.

NB: For all events held at Princes Hill Community Centre these are on the first floor. There is a set of reasonably narrow stairs required to access the venue. Please contact us if you have accessibility requirements and we will endeavor to accommodate you.

LMS may request attendees wear face masks during drawing sessions and new model workshops.

New Member Workshops

The workshop is suitable for people with no experience, or a small amount of all levels of experience as a life model. Models with experience in the field, or who have modelling experience primarily in another industry, who wish to join the LMS are also required to attend this workshop.

We cover life modelling basics, health and safety precautions, tips and tricks, boundaries and consent, with a focus on the LMS Working Conditions. Participants will receive a guide to take home, including a copy of the Working Conditions.

You can assess, in a safe space, whether working as a life model is right for you.

The participation in one of our workshops does not automatically qualify membership of the Life Models’ Society. Upon satisfactory completion, participants will be invited to join the LMS or recommended to repeat the workshop if we feel you need extra support.

This is an interactive session of up to 20 models, please be prepared to model nude. Please take note of the list of requirements that will be sent to you prior to the workshop.

Workshops last up to 4 hours

Cost is $140 full: $100 concession
